What I've Learned In Digital Arts II

In Digital Arts this year I learned not only how to use new and creative programs, I learned how to use different artistic techniques to enhance my work and explore new ideas. Some of the programs we used to create images were Corel Painter 12, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Flash. Corel Painter is a relatively new program that allows for very free drawing and image creating. It is not too hard to learn how to use and can be used to create awesome images as well as a great tool for small edits. Photoshop is probably the main program that I used in Digital Arts this year. Photoshop is useful for so many different projects that it is the obvious choice for creating images. Illustrator is an interesting program that allows for some very distinct edits to priorly made images. You could vector and smooth lines to increase the look of an image. In Flash I made animations that would later get put together in Final Cut Express. I also used quicktime and GarageBand to enhance not only my animations, but my music video. I learned about different styles and techniques like building up the page in order to enhance the realism of my portrait. Overall, this year was very informative and I learned some very valuable skills.
